Hi,

I just did a clean installation of Win XP Home on my PC. Now when i try to play Audio files, it gives me error that "There is no sound card"!

Before doing a clean installation, audio was working fine. What happened now?
Where do i find sound card now? Please help me get my audio back...

Thanks,

You need to find and install the drivers for your card.

What card do you have? If you dont know if you have one, what motherboard do you have?

If you are using onboard sound the drivers will be on the disk that came with the motherboard.
If you have an addon card then it should also have come with a disk.

Lacking either disk (or specific knowledge about what solution you are using) you can download
Everest Home Edition (http://www.lavalys.com/) and find out what you have.
Alternatively, you could go to Device Manager>Sound, Video and Game controllers and see if Windows will find the driver for you.
Sometimes Windows Update will offer the drivers also.
