As of 2 days ago everything I download ends up as only a 32kbps file on my pc, these wont play on a player and obviosly cant be written to a cd, any ides please. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall kazaa lite but it makes no difference.

it's probably fake files. Try downloading a different copy of whatever it is you're downloading or switch to a different network. emule is a good choice over kazaa lite.

it is definitely not fake files, it is all music files, I have tried about 50 different ones and always the same result. Oh by the way my version info says kazaa lite 2.1.0 k++ 2.0.3 . I was thinking of trying a newer version, when I do an uninstall does it get rid of everything on my pc or are there a few bits I need to remove manually so that what ever this problem is it is removed?
I have tried emule and find it doesnt have the files I want, are there any other p2p's that i could try, as close to kazaa as possible, I do tend to only go for the more obscure and older music files.

the uninstall can be very good and you can manually erase the kazaalite folder . then try k-lite 2.7 beta 4 with fake analysis(search analysis)

Uninstalled everything related to kazaa, ran ad-aware, spybot and hijack this latest versions, fixed all items and then installed kazaa lite 2.4.3. It took about 20 mins to connect but now all is well.
One of the items found by hjt had 'bitrate blaster' or something close in the text, lost the bit of paper I wrote it down on and deleted the log file, I am assuming this could have been the problem. Thanks for all the advice.
