Hi, Im donloading a program, but now it turns out that comes
in a lot of pieces, each one of 14.3MB.
Do you have any idea if this is bad?, or am I suposed to put it together later?
cus I think I read something like this before.

err...it's quite dangerous to assume that the first file is the main file.
most archivers give those files the same icon, there's no way to distinct the main file from its part files.

take for example rar r01 r02 (all with the same icon), with rar as the main file.
on windows, the files will be arranged starting from r01 r02...rar. therefore, the first file isn't the main file (the rar file is usually the third).

wat i would suggest is to unhide the file extension first before u do any extraction.

Dangerous?
Worst thing that happens is WinRAR or whatever porogram you are using gives you an error.
And everytime i've tried it i could just right click any file and go to extract here and it would get the whole file.

Exactly, I've been able to click any archive and have been able to extract the entire program.

Yeah. Nothing dangerous unless you downloaded something with a trojan or a virus. Not like the rar's gonna self-destruct on ya.
