Can I upgrade(Not a clean install) to MC2005 from Xp without running into problems?

Why would you want to? Someone on this forum has a legal copy of it and the extra features crash and don't even work. The only extra thing is you can use a remote and it has a few inbuilt codecs. In answer to your question, no i don't think you can.

Tormentor, if the upgrade thing is with the puspose of having the aplications that come with Xp Pro, I have the understanding that MCE 2005 also has them, its just a superpack, meaning it has everything Xp has, plus, Media Center Aplication.
But upgrading from the one you have now, I don't think so.

And from what you two say, I unsderstand that some one may have it, so, I want it bad, if you are willing, may be we can get to an agreement, trade or something, so I begg you to contact me!

Nope. He figured out his problem was with his ram, not MCE.

You cant upgrade to MCE from XP cause they are the same thing just slightly different. If you get MCE you will want the remote for it. Its still pretty good even without it.

But you will have to do a clean install ;)
