What exactly do you mean? Have you trained as a journalist? or do you want to know what software a newspaper journalist uses?

The software is called QuarkXPress (though Adobe Indesign is much better), and has been for donkey's ears. you can import Word docs into Quark, but the actual layout format depends on the paper.

Newspapers layout articles by columns, but the column width varies from paper to paper. So a four column article could be 120 mm in one paper and 152 in another.

I thik he mmeansjust how tosetup word to do a newspaper thingy like for a school project or something, not professionally. :P
