What would you recommend in the way of a quiet, cost effective PSU? I’ve been looking at the "Zalman ATX Ultra-Quiet PSU 300W ZM300B-APS" and that seems to be the best bet, unless anyone has something bad to say about it?
(For recommendations, they’d have to be either black or pure white, colour wise)
Edit: 500W Preferred ;)

why do they have to be one color??
your seriously limiting your options that way............
if you have a plastic seethrough case, you can always paint it........

Antec NeoPower.
It's black (OK it's charcoal, so sue me).
It's 480w.
It's modular...mostly.
The temp regulated 120mm fan is near silent.
It's very stable.
Just put a 400w fortron bluestorm inside a pc. It was blue tho'.
It was really quiet and the revised edition even came with a knob you could turn to adjust the fan speed. It had a transparent 120mm fan too. (FSP400-60THN-P)
It's got a blue light, n' blue mesh around the wires.
And the four pin connectors were great, much better grip than the usual white ones.
LINK (http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?head=64&page=2294) <- this one's knobless tho'.
Fortron is a brilliant brand btw, and there are models in the wattage range you want too, look for one with a 120mm fan for less noise.
EDit: bluestorms are available at up to 500watts.
They do lack a -5v output, but that's supposed to be gone from the atx standard anyway.

clocker's one sounds good, but so does SnnY's which seems more reasonably priced. Was it really quiet? It's an absolute must for my PC
@Storm, I'd settle for any colour if it was good enough, possibly like the above.
I can hear a faint whine or hum, but that's about it. Got the fan set to about half speed. The 350watt version does about 22.6 decibels I think, not sure about the 400watt version.
The loudest things in that chassis right now are the roms I think.
It's the most silent psu I've ever come into contact with. At that wattage, I should say.
Just realised I've got a quieter one mounted in my own pc, but that's rated at a lower wattage, and it isn't a standard atx supply either.
Have a look at this PSU tho': http://www.dvhardware.net/review67_sst-st30nf.html
It's a bit weak, but it doesn't make a sound. "0 decibels".
EDit: the decibel scale:
dB Sound
0 threshold of hearing
10 pin dropping at 10 m
20 soft whisper
30 library
40 quiet conversation
50 normal conversation
60 a busy office
70 vacuum cleaner
80 inside a small car
90 lawn mower
100 large orchestra
110 rock music
120 boom stereo in car
130 earphones up loud/ jet plane
140 air raid siren
150 military rifle
