My son is watching this - hopeful that his favourite (Transformers) is somewhere near the top.

Magic Roundabout has got to be No 1 though. :whistling

Were the mysterious cities of gold nominated?

Cause any cartoon contest without the mysterious cities of gold would be crap.

edit: I knew it. It is crap.

Brilliant, tanks for that.
One of my fave films is at no.8. :01:

The sequel is due out sometime this year.

Guillaume

There won't be any sequel to Spirited away.
A new Miyazaki movie will be released this year (already has here, in mid-january), entitled Howl's Moving Castle (adapted from a book for kids). Not Haya Miyazaki's best movie but still...

Howl's Moving Castle

That's what I was thinking of.
Can't wait to see it, so shurrup before you ruin it for me. :P

I have the Spirited Away tune on my mobile. :01:

So, at the end of the movie, the big bad wizard gets crushed by a falling aardvark.

Mamma always said, never trust a French man, so I'm gonna ignore that last comment.

But god damn you anyway.

Your mom is a wise woman. I don't even trust myself sometimes.

I give that top 100 list no credence whatsoever. :g33k:

The people who compiled it didn't even differentiate between genuine cartoons (eg: Popeye or Bugs bunny) computer graphics (eg: Shrek, finding Nemo) and stop motion animation (eg: the Magic Roundabout or Wallace and Gromit).

And just because the Simpsons is the longest running cartoon ever, that doesn't make it the best cartoon of all time ffs.

It's a frikkin' travesty!

Personally i couldn't believe batfink wasn't there and films definitely shouldn't have been in there. There were so many kiddy films in the top 20; most of the voters must have been ankle-biters
