when you're queuing at the checkout, do you look at the crap other people buy?

No, I try to avoid other people's stare when they see all I buy is alcohol.

Well, yeah.
Ya know, I've come to realize that people frequently resemble their groceries.
Sort of how pet owners may look like their animals (or vice-versa, I suppose), so it's interesting ( and what else has one to do anyway...you are standing and waiting after all) to match the buyer with the goods.

I am a dead ringer for a box of Triscuits, in case you wondered.

Not at the checkout but i do keep an eye on the carts where the shopper is nearly finished....just in case they have exactly what i want...that way i can distract them and steal their cart and save a lot of time

Actually, more like this.
Although rectangular, you will notice that I am also "low in fat".

This is not an easy juggling act to maintain.

Trust me.

I`ve been known to see if people have got more than ten items in the ten items or less queue...... :shifty:

I check out other people's food - i see them doing it to my food, and when i see they have more of the cheap store-brand stuff than me i laugh at them ... not aloud though, that would be weird *mind-laughs*

I can feel people staring at me when I buy a packet of skins.

I'm sure it's a cruel psychological tactic, to fox you into buying a Twix just to avoid their quizzical eyes.

some lady busted me in the express lane with like 15 items instead of ten (they were little items) and actually made me go to a different aisle...

Allways.

Like clocker said, you can read a lot from what people buy.

And sometimes it's rather funny to see people buy the cheapest washingdetergent

and also some truffle-cream..............

Like i do............

there was an article about some guy who slipped in supermarket & tried to sue them. (america ofcourse)
in the case the supermarket stated that he generally bought alot of alcohol and so there was a possibility he was drunk....

buying toilet paper is always an issue for me. (will they notice?)

Can't say that I've ever done that - but then again, I rarely visit supermarkets http://www.sighost.us/members/danb/snooty.gif
