View Full Version : [quiz] Guess our next car............

Yogi
03-01-2005, 05:33 PM
So our beloved Toyata Starlett gave up on us........... :crying:

So Fre will search for another car with an uncle of hers.....

We can spend about 4500 euro..... :01:

The car has to be cheap in taxes, insurance and petrol.

And has to start allways!!!

And i prefer one with four wheels.

So what will my girl buy???

The winner gets an autographed photo of the car with Fre posing in front

of it, together with Chaos!!!!

One guess per post.

Brand and model.

If you also guess the year it was build, i throw in a jar of Yogi PeanutButter!!! :01: (ask Skweek for details.....)

I'll be offline in a bit, so i'll see all your contributions tomorrow.

Yogi

Btw. Fre doesn't know about this quiz!!!!

Don't want to pressure her.............. :shifty:

Renault Clio.

Getting one for 4500 € (even used) might require heavy haggling.

edit: one from 1998.

ford fiesta

Noted!! :)

Funny detail: The car we got as a loaner from the roadservice(anwb in

holland)is a ............ford fiesta.

Ohh, and added rule: Only one model per member, so ford fiesta is allready

taken.

And, Dave, why not throw in a year(eg 1999), or don't you like spicy

peanutbutter???

Like a Vauxhall Astra is an Opel Kadett (or something)

Can't think of any others, atm

What more could you want?
if you cant afford the SUV limo , why not then simply go for a Mini?

That model certainly would have it's perks, like transporting our horse by

lifting it, but it's a one seater............ :crying:

As I read further into this thread, the thought of Yogi driving a car has frightened me more and more.

Then the thought of my not living in the same country has been a great relief. :P

Yogi

so what you get?

Wow, you remembered it was today we were going to get one!!!

It's kind of gone a lil' different than planned............ :shifty:

My mother in law and Fre's Aunt got involved........

We had our eye on a Susuki Alto, 30 k on teh meter. 4500 euro. :)

A little small for long trips, but very cheap in tax and gasoline. :D

Now Fre's mom comes in the game......

She didn't like the idea of us driving a cookiejar on wheels.........

My uncle also had spotted a Corsa, 40 k, 2000 build, 7200 euro.

Way over our budget!!! :crying:

And , yes, you saw it coming; mums was willing to cough up the

difference!!!

And o, yeah, Uncle Piet also had spotted a Mitsubishi Colt, 20 k.(!!!), 2002

build!!! But 11.000 euro..........

Donno why he mentioned that one, as it was more than double our budget!!!

Happily mums agreed that was over the top.

Once at the garage this morning..........

http://www.autoaufkleber24.de/aufkleber_bilder_hp/mitsubishi_colt_1.JPG(our one is darkblue)

It seemed Auntie had played her husband to also look for "better" cars and

after that "encouraged" her sister to help us get the Colt...........

So the end of the story is that as of tomorrow we drive an allmost new

car..........

I must say i am not all that comfortable driving a car in mintcondition;

i am a good, solid driver, but sometimes a little rough around the edges,

hence i like a few dents on my car..............

Since no one guessed right and i gave false info, i will force Fre to pose

with he car for everyone here!!! :w00t:

I'll do a new quiz for the peanutbutter soon........
