no, everyone's a jerk, so you should all die at the same time, no favouritism for anybody

I'd most likely do it for £30,000, if it was someone who IMO truly deserved it.

Course it'd depend on the target - Not really a case of whether he's innocent or not but more whether he is accessible to assassination, how quick the job can be done, easiest ways of avoiding all detection, etc...

i'm not asking for reasoning. just the very first thought you had after reading the question. sure i probably couldn't kill another human, but the very first thought i had was as long as the police couldnt get me

Okay then, plain & simple I would. No emotion, no thought for it - I would just do it for the cash.

Whether I would be able to kill a specific person relates to the stuff above :P

And to quote John Travolta, "Murder's basic - Anyone is capable of it".

I just thought that it was nowhere near enough money to pay for my conscience.

If you are talking a "hit" then the answer is no. It doesn't matter how much is offered.

I would however gladly be the executioner when it comes time to carry out a death sentence given by a legal court for some of those child raping/killing scum. This I would do for free.
There is of course the other time which is in military action to defend my country. I would do this out of duty but would prefer to be paid the going salary so I can pay the bills back home.

No.

I would have to thoroughly hate them. I wouldn't even do it for the court. I would have to personally hate the person. Courts get shit wrong.

60,000 pounds is shit money anyway.

My immediate thought was..absolutely not. I think the only thing that could make me kill is saving my children or other family member. Then again, I once tried pullin some guy off of another guy by his pony-tail, and was thrown clear across the driveway on the attempt. i don't like violence in any form. I must add this..if i killed someone in an attemppt to save someone, it would probably be accidental...my purpose in taking action would be to stop the attack.

...at the same time I would kill if I feel it has to be done. Saving another is easy but believe it or not due to my religious beliefs I would still wonder whether I'm hellbound. I wonder it now for shit that I've done.

It's possible, if the person in question was really horrible (we're talking child-molester or serial-killer here) and I could get away with it.

If anyone agrees to this in any way. Then they must agree with capital punishment.

Nobody found a new spoon for me yet?

It depends really, in Iraq people are expected to kill for £20,000 a year. If it was someone who i hated, so for example if hitler was still alive then i would say yes as i have a good enough motive in my mind, i could never become a 'hitman' though as killing targets you don't know in my mind would be wierd, they might have just taken your parking space and are killed for that. Depending on who they are, but i would say Yes.

I only agree to capital punishment if it can be proven without a single doubt that the person about to pay the price actually did commit the crime.

I think that those countries that have that form of punishment today aren't up to the task of actually getting the right person 100% of the time, so I'm against capital punishment as employed by, for example, the American government*.

So for me to kill the person in the original question I'd have to see him or her commit one of the crimes I named, with my own eyes. (I should have written that from the start.)

EDit: * this isnt' a "Bush sucks" comment or anything, it's a "your judicial system scares the feck out of me", kind of comment.

I agree Snny. The original death penalty crimes in the UK were reasonable except the exclusion of child killing. I would like to see the 'guilty' person going through every type of truth drug, lie detector etc before the punishment was carried out.

My immediate thought was that no, I definitely wouldn't kill someone for £60,000.

Not even an old person.

I know a few people I wouldnt really have "second thought about :shifty: ... but as a hitman? I don't think I would be able to coldly kill another person i don't know.
