You can upgrade your NTL Broadband connection for free now. Going from 750k to 2mb and 1.5meg up to 3mb. The 300k users cannot upgrade right at the moment.

It only takes about a minute and im cruising at 370kb/s right now :01: Also 3mb users got an upload upgrade, however only up to 350k which means 40-45kb/s uploading.

I rang them up before i upgraded to ask about the cap.They said that it`s always been capped at 1GB a day.I then asked them what if i went over my monthly allowence and they just said that you get a talking to if you abuse it but the FBI are`nt gonna come round to your house. :lol:

According to a post i read on the ntlhell forum 300k users will be getting an an upgrade to 1mb, not sure when. The 3gb a month cap on them makes the 1gb a day cap look good.

The new uploads speeds are meant to be


1Mb - 100K upstream
2Mb - 200K upstream
3Mb - 300K upstream

Q. What will we do if a customer reaches their usage allowance?
We will not be checking usage allowances until later this year. We will get in touch with customers directly when we start to check their usage - information and alternative options will be provided to customers when usage allowances are exceeded. In the meantime we will continue to run campaigns with heavy users.

Looks like it will be ok for a few months anyway.

You could do 32gb in one day if you NLY maxxed out your download, then about another 3gb of upload. So yes you could do a months worth in one day.

ok unfortunatly im on the 300k cant afford nuthin higher ..... but 3GB a month is freakin ridiculous!!!! anyhow does anyone when the 300k will get upgraded or wat im not a happy person rite now :(

Yes but you are capped at 1gb a day, 2MB and 3MB are UNCAPPED while 1mb is capped at 1gb a day. Also its £17.99 as in English money.

Doh thats what i ment :unsure:

You could use that 3gb cap in about 4 or 5 hours so for a whole month its very bad.
