Just recieved an email claiming to be from Barclays Bank, which I am not a customer of asking me to confirm my details, yeah right

Only thing was, you'd have thought if they wanted people to fall for it they'd do a much more professional job of the email

You have to be a proper fool to believe that ... don't you?

damn, looks like someone scanned that page, after cutting out words and placing them on a separate sheet of paper. Maybe they didn't know how to change fonts? :lookaroun

Definately not Barclays. There would've been an attached charge of £30.00 for the letter\E-Mail. :)

Me bank actually phoned me at home and asked me to identify meself by providing a password. It really was them.

I said something like "you phoned me, arse, why would I identify myself". I kindly added that this was just the kind of stupidity that encouraged the hard of thinking to give out their details. I then bade them farewell and discontinued the conversation.

I know it was really them because the Manager wrote and apologised.

A credit card company did the same to me on Thursday. Asked for personal 'Identification Word' and my card number.

I thought it only fair, as the person may not have known they were an arse.

I take my civic duty very seriously.
