Making videos Brighter?

can you make videos brighter using media play classic? i know you can with vlc and wmp, but i use some of my files with mpc and would like to make them brighter. is there a way?

edit: perhaps this needs to go to software?
edit2: nm i figured it out. i'm beginning to love this ffdshow program/filter/codec.
