World Wind lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth. Leveraging Landsat satellite imagery and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission data, World Wind lets you experience Earth terrain in visually rich 3D, just as if you were really there.

Virtually visit any place in the world. Look across the Andes, into the Grand Canyon, over the Alps, or along the African Sahara.

I actually just found this, so im downloading it now. Its about 174mb and im getting fast speeds so i figure ill install it and see what it does.

EDIT: Wow this is crazy. You can see from 10,000 meters anywhere in the world, and up to 1 meter in in the states. You can see cars and people walking!! this is so much fun. If you have the fast connection get it.

 What did you expect?
Your own personal satelite with videocamera that you can move anywhere anytime, to zoom in on people in real time?

Would be cool though

The installer does not work for me. Everytime I try to "run" it, it says the installer is corrupt and you need to download it again. So I do, and it says the same thing!

Program works for me, however, it onlyseems to magnify about 20 miles to the north of me ( Disney Area ) does it take a long time to fill in, or am I to assume they don't have the pictures of my area ?
