internet explorer wont connect to the web... but kazaa works. so i installed firefox and it allows me to surf, but internet explorer still does not work. i turn off my my fire wall and it still dont work

what is going on?????

Someone hacked your computer and put you out of the misery of using IE. Do yourself a favour and keep firefox installed.

make sure "Work Offline" is not ticked in the "File" menu

Have you ran spyware scans?
if so and there's ntohing then post a hijackthis! log.

In IE go to tools, internet options,programs click reset web settings . I just switched back to IE ,it works on this board. Better than the fox for me as we can all see . :cool:

It does sound like a browser hijack tho or spyware ,as some have already suggested . I'd look at that first . :)

me, i've gotten too used to the FF UI, i CAN'T go back,
but if you must........
rossco had a great idea, why not try it?
(Ad-aware SE is free, and a good place to start)
or what peat suggested?
as well as deleting all cookies, files in the cache, and check the....hmmm.....
wtf was that other shit? now i gotta open IE FFS :angry:
ok....tools > internet options > general tab > settings > view objects
delete all that shit in there

Another person free'd in my attempt to h4x0r as many IE's as possible so they turn to Firefox. Did you know IE has the most advanced secruity features in any browser, apparently :lookaroun

i mean, sticking with the fox is a good move IMO,
but i fkn hate unsolvable problems :frusty:
