I'm not sure if you can check *before* if finishes downloading. But one thing you can do for certain if you want to check it before you burn it on dvd is this.

Use daemon tools [http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/index.php] and tell it to emulate the dvd iso. Then open dvd decryptor and open that drive that you have daemon tools emulating. It should give information about the dvd on the right side.

::::If this is in any way confusing, just ignore it and wait for someone else's solution, since most people who burn and rip dvd's already have this software installed, I just wanted to point them in the right direction:::

thanks. i burn & rip dvds often so your instructions aren't confusing to me.
i found out that i can watch pal discs on my pc, and even convert to ntsc later if i want.
guess i'll just wait till it finishes downloading.

The only difference between NTSC and PAL in a video/movie on your PC is the frame rate.

It doesn't matter untill you put it on a disk and try to play it on a TV.

And even then you can choose the format you want when creating/burning a DVD.
