Clarence House revealed that the postponement of the wedding from Friday, to avoid a clash with the Pope's funeral, meant 20 people could no longer attend the blessing.

this is probably why

I thought that the C of E wouldn't re-marry divorced people. Hence the civil ceremony / blessing.

I understand the CofE is doing a housecall to Windsor Castle. Charles and Camilla will, during the service, confess their manifest wickedness and say sorry. (At least that was what I read)

The Church Of England was created by King Henry the Eighth who appointed himself head of the churches of England for the soul reason of divorcing Catherine of Aragon to remarry with Anne Boleyn.
That said I dont think you can remarry in a C of E church but on the bright side, you may not go to hell

Seems a tad duplicitous to me.

Oh and going to hell would be a good thing for a satanist surely.

I am fairly indifferent to the British royal family but I wouldn't do away with them as I truly believe they bring more to the country than they could ever take out.
I wish the newly-weds every happiness together.

All jokes aside I stand by our royal family, I don't suppose ppl from countries without a royal family would understand what I mean, the royal family to me stand for everything I'd kill or die for, family and my country, God save the Queen.

My country has a royal family too.

They stand for inbreeding, illiteracy and evasion of speeding tickets, for me.

Ah yes, the important things in life.
