SpySweeper seems to make my Outpost go mad and block all internet
(because SpySweeper edits memory processes. OP dont like that)

and SpyEliminator hates non-unique serials

so fuck the antispy top 10 and stick to basics (hugs adaware)

Total fucking bullshit.

Look ar the firewall recommendations; Outpost gets a lower mark on 'Featureset' than ZAP but it actually has more features and bests ZAP in almost every section - it only lags behind on support, for which they both score the same!

Kaspersky isn't included in the AV section, either.

Looks to me like it's a top ten of their preferred sellers.

lol. i'm sticking with nod32. i could try spyware eliminator. mainly cuz adaware isn't that great either. don't need a firewall. already got a router

i wonder which of those av scanners take up the least resources??

Total fucking bullshit.

couldnt have said it better myself ;)
they are, and i know this first hand, way off on their sygate rating/feature listings
according to them, sygate has no:
-password protection *bullshit*
-personal info protection *bullshit, wtf is a firewall for if not that?*
-port monitoring *bullshit, how else would it tell you what ports are being scanned?*
-intruder Id lookup *bullshit, it links to the WHOIS database through a backtrace*
and probably some others i missed, these were just the obvious
but it doesnt surprise me, as most of those "reviews" are rarely accurate
could be that whoever tested the apps didnt know wtf they were doing...
could be marketing, could be anything, but it is bullshit

-edit- other review sites i have seen....
tested sygate FREE edition vs ZA Pro....wtf?
if that isnt biased......

and dont get me started on the AV & anti-spyware reviews :lol:

Cause all the mentioned software are paid software and S&D is free.

Nothing I utilize made any of those lists. Of course those softwares are all of comparable natures and price points. While with the exception of one software, my choices for system protection are geared more towards the enterprise end of the spectrum.

My Choices:

Firewall= Symantec Client Firewall
Antivirus= Symantec Corporate Antivirus
Antispyware= Counterspy

I found it odd that the NIS2005 suite was not covered so far as firewalls. Essentially only a bloated version of the Norton brand personal firewall, however it's additions would have easily pushed it higher among the rankings.

Counterspy was not covered in the anti-spyware category. Not even the GiantSoftware brand as well. How could they conduct such comparison tests without even mentioning these well-known antispyware goliaths? That category is just out-right "flawed", IMO.

These are not well done ratings. I noticed alot of things that do come with certain programs and says it doesnt come with it. WHO MADE THIS? They are wrong.
