 Permanent Acceleration Fix

It seems that even without pointer precision disabled, the mouse under XP is still
influenced by an acceleration curve. This is especially noticeable in games. To
completely remove mouse acceleration from XP, you will need to go into the registry
and adjust the SmoothmouseXYCurve values. Here is how its done.

1. Click Start button
2. Select Run
3. Type 'regedit' in the open textbox
4. Open the tree 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER', select control panel, then select mouse
5. Right clicking, modify the SmoothMouseXCurve and SmoothMouseYCurve hexidecimal values to the following:

SmoothMouseXCurve:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
00,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00
00,40,01,00,00,00,00,00
00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00
00,00,05,00,00,00,00,00

SmoothMouseYCurve:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
66,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00
cd,4c,05,00,00,00,00,00
a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00
38,33,15,00,00,00,00,00

If done correctly, you will notice you are holding a markedly more responsive mouse. :D

nahan, shut the hell up, you have no clue what this is even about.

Windows xp has a registry set default acceleration for mice. Even if u disable it in the mouse properties.

For gamers, many of us, taking this off is very important, ie for sniping in counter strike, ut2k3. So you have a constant speed as you move the mouse around, and it doesnt accerlate.

Dont flame less u know what the hell u are talking about.

and its only in windows xp, not 2000, or any 9x versions.

I wasnt complaining about your ?, i was complaining about that quote.

dumbass, and pissant, werent necessary.

I didnt say you werent an avid gamer... but most hard core cs'ers, this is very important, when your using an Artic Warfare sniper rifle. (as most of us do). hence, its very handy to the select crowd that needs it.

All i did was ask ,just to clarify about the mouse config.
Because if i knew what it was about maybe i too could have use for it.

Then i get smart ass answer followed by dumbass.
So he clearly got what he deserved,he shouldnt be getting any help from anybody in this situation.

His smart ass put him in it ,Im sure it can get him out
