Feck, I've just sat at the window for 5 minutes in my skants trying to catch the lightning, alas it's seems to be passing. I likes the lightning, think it must be about 15 miles away now.

Urm, it's awful, but I lift heavy things moment....

25% of the time I'm straight.
It's unfortunatly 3:15 in the morn, and seriously sound like a warzone out there.
I can't sleep, I need to guard my vinyls from the pre-expectated blaze.

HOLY FUCK, THAT WAS LOUD!!!! :fear: :cries:

SGG will be jealous. She has a "thing" for thunderstorms - make her all bright eyed and bouncy. Frequently have to tell her that hanging out of the window and waving her arms at the sky is not a good idea.

Lilmiss
05-01-2005, 02:38 PM
It was a really pretty thunderstorm, but I thought I was being bombed or something.
Didn't stop me hanging out the window of my first floor flat trying to capture it with the camera though. :fear no evil:

I've just been for afternoon tea at my Grans with the rest of the family.
I got a telling off for not going church, and not eating properly, and my pants hanging out my jeans, and my scruffy hair, and never wearing pretty dresses anymore, and....blah blah blah.
Then they wonder why I don't visit too often. :snooty:

Guillaume
05-01-2005, 02:40 PM
You're not going to church? :sooty:

I wish I could be told off by my grans.

I can see where there may be a disincentive on your part.

Afternoon tea is nice but it is not such a free lunch if you come away with your ears ringing.

You missed church on Beltane :shifty: good girl.

Lilmiss
05-01-2005, 02:53 PM
Always hated everything about church.
Pathetic cult with far too much power and money, imo.

No moon worshipping going on round 'ere, suppose the thunderstorm scared 'em all away. Either that, or my awfully loud singing voice, I was using a lot last night. :ermm:

Gee, when we have a family meet, it's usually 15+ old nagging wifeys and other crazy folk bantering about a loada junk. But I did get strawberries. :01:

Tis a long time since I had tea with my Grans and other elderly relatives :( Although as I recall, most of the converstaion involved having detailed medical knowledge and a really serious understanding of the extended geneology of the family - also invariably involved a clip round the ear for swiping something from the table that was meant for one of the old crusties. :01:

Ahh the good old days. Fortunately, SGG's Gran is quite elderly and a stickler for tradition. All three meals a day are set table affairs with napkins etc., no talking with mouth full and asking to leave the table at the end. If she gets too out of line, a quick word with her mum and the threat of a holiday in Suffolk with Gran is on the cards - works wonders

Lilmiss
05-01-2005, 03:08 PM
:P Normally my lil brother is there to suffer the most of waggling fingers, but he escaped early to go skateboarding.
I actually do have a great family, even though they are all crazy in their own ways. My Gran actually flashed one of my mates at xmas dinner to make him smile. It had the opposite effect, but still... :D

And yeah, stealing the last cream slice will get you lynched round 'ere. :fear:

Guillaume

Highlight of the day: It's 30°C (86°F). On May 1! :frusty:
I've decided to move to Greenland to try and survive summer.

Guillaume
05-01-2005, 05:33 PM
Found a way to refresh a bit: found a stock of beer bottles my uncle gave me a while ago.
He brews his own and they're a bit stronger than the comercial stuff.
Refreshed, but feckered. A good compromise I think.

Mainly the distrbutor cap, but the battery had worn out too.
Had new points and plastic coverings put on her, but I still need a new clutch, which will be about £50 plus labour. :pinch:

I've been advised to coat the seam of the cap in vaseline, which should seal it against the wet weather which seems to follows me.

:D It is here missy. I think you have it on a different day tho.

:01: I had a wicked tho fecked up day, left pressies at home then realised I was locked out, the car broke down on the way home but started 45 minutes later then I finally got home after almost 2 hours (usually a 45 min trip to me Ma's) and me damn network was down.

 Anyhoo, I'm home nets back on and the kids are asleep, doesn't get much better than that. Oh okay, some bourbon and a shag would be a nice bonus but I did have a really good day, gorged out on bbq and didn't have to do any of the clean up :woot:

:console: How you, now you're possibly over the heart attack of missing Mother's Day:lol:

Well, I'm about to start running about the house looking for my bank card, or something to wrap up for them both.

Sounds like a bit of a nutty day you've had. Glad you got your net and everything sorted out. Can't help you on the Bourbon though, the only alcohol left in mine is a bottle of a brown.

My tummy hurts alot. There's so many things I havent done this weekend, I promised someone I would visit them over the w/e and havent managed it yet. I'm so gonna get doings and bashings.

Today I learned of the reforms that Lord Bonhomie has suggested for the Scottish Legal System and in particular High Court procedures and how the Lord Advocate has instructed his Department to implement changes which would assist in this modernization bearing in mind that these were voluntary changes which the COPFS were making as opposed to any actual changes in the law. which was nice.

Today i had a really good shit. There's nothing like a really good shit. (see La Haine (http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0113247/))

Then i had to walk to Reigate to pick up a set of G strings. Along the way i was reminded how much more greenery there is here than at Portsmouth, affirming my opinion that Portsmouth is shit.

On the way back i decided to buy a cold drink, seeing as it was a warm day today, but i couldn't be arsed to cross the road to M&S, so i bought a warm Pepsi Max (sugar free crap) from Three Cooks, since this was all they had.
