Apart from the names of the people, the group and the releases everything that they do is pritty accurate, which a fe things changed to make it more n00b friendly.

They whole storyline is fiction, the story is not based on real events. they are doing a good job making it look like it really happend.

wow i just sat through a scene marathon. have to say it's really really good (brain cuts in) melissa is hot, why they hell would he cheat with that old girl (brain shuts off) the story is great, i mean i fingered tef for what he was by ep 2, but the rest, man it just goes down a scary path. all too real. how often do they update that site? i want more already, want to know what happens next.

sidenote: nice view into the secret little world most of us never see, those parts of cyberspace sectioned off from "noobs" :p

I posted about this in the news section.

as many of you know, there were a series of arrests in
the real 'scene' last week. Ever since our first episode, people have
wondered if we work for Sony, for the RIAA, the MPAA, the FBI, or any
number of other letter combinations. Episode 9 apparently re-ignited
some of these suspicions, so I wanted to take a moment to address some
of the concerns that have been expressed to us.

First off, as we have stated numerous times, The Scene is purely
fictitious, and the sole point of it is to entertain. We have no hidden
agendas, and no desire to frighten or intimidate people - much less have
them arrested. I write all of the scripts myself; I choose the character
names (including "gryffin") and I create all the plots and storylines on
my own with no outside input of any kind.

Just as there are shows about the mafia, cops, and big corporations,
we've created a drama about movie piracy. We're not saying that piracy
is right or wrong; we're just telling a story in way that is as
authentic as possible - and we go out of our way to make sure that
nothing in the show could ever get anyone in trouble.

Well, just a little info for those who think because they saw it they know everything.

First off, I was one of the users on one of those sites. I am safe.

I was in a channel with "griffen" for a few months. In a channel with not many people things

start getting imbedded into your brain like certain vhosts that to some may be a bit funny

and to others may piss them off. Well after watching the movie a few things popped into my head

Gryffin for some reason, the first 2 times the guy said his nick, the voice in the background says

"He works for the FBI." Strange? Well ok, skip to the end where Gryffin is speaking to Drosan.

Notice the nick and vhost were on linknet? Now take a look at the vhost. I knew i saw that somewhere

and it came to me, griffen's vhost was [email protected] ... wow coincidence? Finally,

a simple dns on the hostname will give you the following

The same place all 4 of those .us sites were busted? I guess we should all maybe think a bit

about that one.

Sad thing is, some of us do have our enemies or rival groups. You do everything u can to beat them

and have some hatred toward them because they are opposition. This goes the same for myself, but the

fact is nobody ever deserves something like this... and to griffen .. go fuck yourself.

saw it soon after it came out, waiting for it to pick back up tho, idle threats mean nothing. so how would griffyn attack drosan anyway, i mean it's all text based, espcially this last one which was painfully annoying, "killer in the house, let me bang on these keys with the door open and be scared while you yell at me to close 15 times before my idiotic ass locks it" so whats the asian maf's gonna do, text write a gun and say "me chinese me play joke, me put pee pee in your coke" kidding aside, it's gonna be interesting to see how they play this out.

I just saw the episode and the truth is i'm a bit disappointed. The girlfriend story was boring and we've already seen that ending in one of the previous episodes.
I hope they work harder for september.

I did translate soem fo it, but it was messed up, from what i translate and with a wild guess (literelly, google translator si crap), they were either asking about drosan (the plan about the paypal that was discussed in the mirc room), or they were discussing gryffins account.
