Just been reading about how hackers are deliberately having a go at microsofts anti spy app on the basis off why should we have to pay for something that protects us from windows vulnerabilities to start with  and that they have found malware that gets through unstopped, just thought I would mention that.

This is interesting :

If you download Microsoft AntiSpyware, note in the license agreement that the beta will expire on July 31, 2005, "or until the date we release a commercial version of the software, whichever date is first". Thus, you should regularly check for updates when new betas or the official version 1 of the software is released.

Sorry for not replying sooner but last night the board was down while it was installing summat. btw it looks more like we'll have to pay for the updates rather than the software.

Cheers for that as I forgot to bring the magazine home again :) That link was give or take the same as what it said in the mag but tbh I don't think that was the name of the mag I was reading but was probably from the same publisher  I've found that with some mags.

To test the program, we did the obvious thing: searched for cracked software and pornography.

Some firms have already claimed that their programs aren’t spyware and therefore shouldn’t be zapped, while others’ licence agreements prohibit you from using anti-spyware tools to uninstall them.wtf? it's fucking invasion of privacy FFS
so....I could write a virus, put an EULA in it, and sue Norton for removing it?

I have the latest version of Giant Antispyware, so no need for Microsoft since they took over Giant.
