There are tons of files on torrents and p2p's; is the porn industry even hurt by all this? Do they not care or what?

im sure theyre making way more than enough money, just like the music and movie industry. But they know better and know that they will never be able to stop file sharing!

so basically, yeah i dont think they care! after all, a lot of those porn movies on there are posted there by the creators of the movies lol, trying to show their stuff :)

and there are probably less do-gooders wanting to be associated with defending this industry

I was always told if you want to see what the next big thing on the internet is going to be (technology wise ) you should look at the porn sites.
generally these people are making plenty of money and have no problem pioneering new tech. p2p is a great way for a upstart site to get free advertisement and attract potential customers so im guessing they dont mind a few of there vids leaking onto p2p networks.

From memory there was a 3rd party company called 'Titan' that scoured the p2p networks looking for traders.

I remember they attempted to get the user details from a ISP early on in this whole sueing thing, but the ISP was also being supoena'd for user details of music sharers. In that particular case the ISP wouldn't surrender the details and the judge in that case was on the ISP side and the music sharers details weren't given out. Following this Titan dropped their demand.

That was about a year+ ago though, no idea if they are still about, you don't hear many gettin' sued over it, touch wood :D GEDDIT ! :P

If you're a member of Empornium you'll know that some sites don't want their material to be released on there.

Current sites' material that is prohibited on Empornium:
# Petra Central (Petra Verkaik)
# SexyFur
# Emelons (Serenity Davis)
# Camwhorevids
# Silicone Free
# abbywinters.com
# Spunky Productions
# Sweet Krissy
# Kate's Playground

So yeah, some do care about their loss of income

the pron industry should thank the filesharing world instead.
it is this medium that allows prons to be distributed more effectively, and thus more publicity

i mean, even jenna jameson is getting more famous outside her industry

It just doesn't effect the $50 billion industry that some people on the net are sharing videos of some trashy babe "gettin it" in the backyard by three guys and filmed on a shaky Handi-Cam. There just isn't huge budgets on these things like major pictures. Basically, it's much easier to recover costs.

The porno industry makes more than all the American sports put together.
