The board has been sloww on and of for a day or so and before the Arcade install. I seem to have no problem playing the games...

Let them all display on 1 page since the images are only around 2K each I doubt load is an issue for even dial up users as it most likely less than a post may be with avatars and sigs anyway...

I'm not arguing. The very first pm I got said not to post my comment or ALL my high scores would be eliminated.
I then got another PM (much later) from a mod on an extremely non-offensive comment. Since I received a "scolding" from admin and then a mod (about a different comment), I thought it was "team based".

The easy thing is to post concrete rules regarding comments in the high scores table. That way there is no "unfairness".

Look at it from my point of view. Hell I was banned once for not being helpful which was probably THE absolute worse case of that I have ever heard of on this board.

Regarding the high scores.....
Sorry to tell ya but that's what happens when I player is trying to beat his own high score. You see it at the acrade all the time. The chips happen to fall that way.

If you beat one of those scores then your name goes up.

It must be a thing about people not being able to achieve a certain score and wanting to be on the front page 'cause their scores are on the list.

I don't get it.

I also thought it was cool being able to see that one person achieved a certain score multiple times and sometimes came close to beat it again.

All the yeti games have it (there's a Google search on one and a pie chart thing on another for example). If you look closely at most of the main game screens (or how to play sections) hitting "B" to get into boss mode (which is a cover screen for when your boss is looking over your shoulder, though most contain references to the game) will be mentioned so it's no secret :)

Only showing one score per member has nothing todo with the monthly pruning of the scores. We haven't chosen yet what we're gonna use, I've set it like this now just to check if the option worked, because in the adminCP that option is called 'EXPERIMENTAL'. If the members and team find the other option better it will be changed back.

Overall high scores with all scores (ie every score a person has made on that game).

That means there is a score table to satisfy everyone.

I think the times are affected in the same way as the comments because of the "highest score only" thing. Looks like it only records the comment and time for the user's first attempt on the scoreboard and carries them forward to subsequent attempts.

The same for callum's 800+ score (even though that's more believable).

To get a super high score you must

Have perfect accuracy
Never let one Cutie escape
Never get shot
Have all head shots
Be fast since the faster you kill, the faster more Cuties appear.

Having almost done this with a 379 score (I remember someone having a 399 score) makes a score over 200 points higher nearly impossible unless there are bonuses.

Either way I say leave the scores be.

Well your other hand is free during the game, so why not get a screenshot of anything past 100?

Just press the PRINT SCREEN button and then paste the image into Paint. Save, host the image somewhere and then shut all those who say you are cheating up for good.

with regards to the time vs score argument, I have just beat my own record in the 3D car game. My time under the high score still says 43secs. however, if you look under the weekly high scores, it says 1415. it updates the score on the front page, but not the time it seems, cause 43secs is what I had before too. I do have a screenshot this time btw.... :rolleyes:
