Winamp 2.9

Winamp 3 has video support which i have to admit is not that good however the Winamp 2.x series is dedicated to music playback therefore its smaller uses less system resources and it rocks :)

depends wot u want it for i prefer 2.9 to 3 cos i only use it for audio playback but i dont really use the skins anyway as i have winamp always hidden and using keyboard shortcuts to play/pause etc :)

2.9 has video playback too. :)

But it doesnt use that much system resources as 3.0.
For me it works great.

I like the "Jump" thing that you can do in 2.8.. That's why I stick to that one.. :lol:

I think I'll stick to WMP9 too. These new players seem to incorporate all the same features anyway. Does winamp 2.9 bring anything new to the table?

From the design and everything its basically like 2.8 but with the new features from version 3. It can now play videos and have a media libary....

I still preffer 2.9 as Winamp 3 takes a wee while longer to load. Is this just me?

WMP takes ages to load, an it has to """conecting to media"""" (fuckin hell) winamp is straight in with the mp3 sound. no waiting what so ever

indeed, Winamp v2.90 has the jump feature, incorporates video playback into the program now and has a really good library feature now that IMO i think is better than the jump feature, also it has easier access to shoutcast internet radio stations unlike the old versions which i find very handy and i imagine a lot of other broadband users would find useful too
