Ive watched this film recently and have to say it has become my film of the year and guess what ...................Its British!
Most definately renewed my confidence in English cinema great to see something other than the hollywood wannabe bullshit us Brits were becoming accustomed too .
DEAD MAN'S SHOES
Two brothers return to the home town they left years before. They are close, but very different: Richard is strong and purposeful, Anthony younger, more hesitant. One of them is out for revenge...
Combining some real laugh out loud comedy moments with real gruesome ferocity Paddy Considine plays Richard and his performance is outstanding kind of like De niro in Taxi Driver ........cool quiet and phsycotic you cannot help but feel emphathy for his character but as the film progresses you begin to wonder why?
