Hi m8, a lot of programs will do this for you............ one i recommend is "eo video" eo-video.com Comes as fully functional 30 day trial (u could always uninstall then re install after 30 days???? ) A good site to look for guides etc is videohelp.com

This has the option of splitting the file into cdr sizes m8. :D

There might be other things you could do m8 but you don't mention why you want to split the file, winrar can split it into whatever size chunks you want or are you wanting to create a dvd with it?, nero will do most stuff like that and even windows mm2 will split avi's in half.

what size of file is it that you're trying to split, and what type of file is it, i.e .avi

Here's a few programs from SnapFiles.com:

Not sure if anything there's exactly what you're looking for though.

with winrar/winzip you can compress/store them up into max 700MB zip/rar files
theyre easier to re-assemble then

Another solution would be to purchase a DVD burner. Then you would have 4.7 GB space on each disc.
