I felt sick reading this. While some countries fight for freedom of speech
others try ,and keep thiers under the heel. But these people use every trick in the book. To be honest don't know why I read it or posted it . Its a sad world we live in , I feel for my children ,who'll inherit it .

What is (to me) even more amazing is that many see no difference, and believe from their heads to the very tips of their toes that Al Qaida's endeavors and those of the U.S. to be morally equivalent.

people do read blogs, but nobody besides Republicans have made much use of 'um as a political/organizational tool (i.e. big blogs decide the topic of discussion, then the little blogs copy & paste, copy & paste, and harp on it till somebody working in mainstream news reads it during their lunch break and goes "hmm, this would make for a sensational headline" and then we have to hear all about it on TV at 6pm).

you just don't hear as much from the rest of the blog world because they're more likely to use the form for creating & circulating jokes, linking goofy news stories, demanding to know why the muslim world doesn't support terrorism, or (of all things) logging their individual thoughts & activities. OH and the ever-popular "let's all answer this personality questionnaire about 'Which Smurf Are You Most Similar To'..."

I believe I've spotted a wee, tiny tell-tale.

Here in the U.S., there has for years been an opinion among conservatives/Republicans that the major media (by "major media", I, mean the Big Three nets, CNN, and the big-city papers and slicks) was tilted toward the liberal side of things.

The explosive growth of media other than the old-line (talk radio, newer alternative reads, cable news-apart from CNN-blogs, etc.) seem to be, or at least suffer from a perception of being, well...conservative.

What conclusions could one possibly draw from this? :)

That some Conservatives need to vent. :whistling

well... one way of interpreting it might be to say it's proof that the average american is further right than the people in the major media.

or it could be interpreted as an indication that right-wingers have made more effective use of the new & alternative media than left-wingers have. i've read fairly coherent arguments to this effect... that left-wing alt media is more fractured as its members pursue a wider variety of issues, while right-wing alt media tend to cluster around a smaller variety of hot topics as selected by a few influential voices, so it's easier to identify right-wing trends in alt media and distinguish that from the major media. this is a pretty enlightening read that discusses the structures of the political blogospheres: http://www.mydd.com/story/2004/9/13/134457/344/

it could be a matter of inclination to make one's opinion known at all. some might be more inclined than others, for various reasons. such as disparate levels of sensitivity? for example the kind of sensitivity that can spot a homosexual among the teletubbies.

there must be other interpretations too, i'm sure. but i dunno how one would objectively go about proving these or any others.
