Have a go at this Chinese IQ test – press the big blue button to start and double click on the characters to move them about. There are the following rules which apply:

"Everybody has to cross the river" but…

* Only 2 persons on the raft at a time
* The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence
* The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence
* The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there
* Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft

Why doesn't the thief run off when he's left alone?The theif is a girl and as we all know - girls can't run very fast and have a poor sense of direction.

Yes, that is a concern... and I thought Chinese families were restricted to 1 child per family anyway... :huh:


And why doesn't the policeman handcuff the thief to a tree or something? :huh:
