While we are 'bored'. :) Does anyone know how to bore a square hole using a normal bit and drill. Only allowed to bore once. :)

Sorry. :( One bore with the drill. No other tools can be used. :) When you withdraw the bit you should be able to show a hole with four precise corners. :)

Jordan = Not HawtI find her quite charming. Not overly fond of her silicone enhancements but she seems quite a nice lass.
I take it that you're not an avid viewer of the reality TV smashes; Peter & Katie and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out OF Here. She shines in both

Take a cardboard or a thin piece of wood, fold and place it between two pieces of board with the fold up; the boards are then put in a vice in a particular way. Start the bit with the screw point in the fold, using a 1-in. bit, and bore a hole 1/2 in. deep. When the cardboard or thin piece of wood is taken from the vice a square hole will impress your incredulous friends.

 Well done Manker.
P.S. you might have changed the wording from the book. Then we would have thought that you were really brainy.

Well, the last sentence is mine and the silly American author spelled vice with an 's' - so I changed that part at least :D
