a good wideo editing program

what is a good video editing program.

i dont mean like a splitter, i mean to addm effects

i have a plitter, just my frind weants to add some effeccts

what kind of effects exactly, a simple blur here and there or a big ass explosion? :unsure:

there's probably a ton of programs for adding simple blurs, etc. but, if it's explosions and stuff you wanna add, i think your ganna have to go with Maya or 3DSMax or something of that nature (create a 3d effect then overlay & blend it with the video) ;)

if your serious about adding effects you can get a cheap video editing board at a pawn shop, I got a great one for 25 bucks that does fads/wipes and all kinds of transitions, it could do text but it didn't come with a keyboard.
