Power cut last night, alarm did'nt go off.
So I phone Gez at work to tell her I'll be 15 mins late and who picks up the phone?........only the fucking boss :frusty: bosses are NEVER there on a sunday, ffs!
Great, means I'm gonna get an earbashing about having a backup alarm or some such shit.
Ok good mood out the window,

Course, you wouldn't have been as late if you hadn't come in here to tell us you were going to get in to trouble for being late. :shifty:

Why was the boss there? Cos there'd been a power cut and he needed to check everything was ok. :rolleyes:

I hate it when that happens. You need to get yourself one that has a battery backup (mine used to but I haven't changed the battery in years), or a wind up alarm clock that doesn't require power to run it. ;)

Ok I got to work 18 mins late :rolleyes:

Conversation went ,......

Boss "What time do you call this"
Me: "erm, 18 minutes past 10"
Boss : Don't be bloody funny"
Me: "Me? funny? never :rolleyes:
Boss : Why are you late?"
Me: Power cut switched off my alarm
Boss: Ohhhh yeAh a likely story
Me: Did you have a power cut this morning?
Boss: "Well yes actually, the freezer is broken
Me: Well duh, so could I not have had a power cut? and is it at all possible my clock is mains powered?
Boss: Yeah ok, but don't let it happen again
Me: Ok I'll call Powergen later and tell them to stop making my power go off

Hardly said a word after that............for 5 hours!!!! :frusty:
