problem playing videos AVI

I have problem playing videos in this PC (not mine). I have the latest codec installed. (klitemega codec pack) and have tried with VideoLan, BSplayer, media player classic etc. they play slow..

Note: system specs
Pentium III
334 mHZ
312 RAM
win xp

So is this because of ? system specs ? missing file?

You are very close to the minimum requirements for Windows XP: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/upgrading/sysreqs.mspx

You also don't mention what graphics adaptor is in that PC. It could be just below what is required to run video smoothly. If you also have things running in the background on such a machine, you'll notice a slowdownright away.

Try reducing the size of the viewing window of the video.
