I haven't used BT, but I'm looking to try it out. I'm still an emule fanboy, but want to basically see for myself what is better.

Now I'm after a secure client. I don't care if it's easy to use or whatever (I'll figure that part out), I just need it it to not be able to show my IP address etc...

Also, is Torrent Reactor a good place to get torrents from? It looks pretty clean and easy to use and there doesn't appear to be anything dodgy about it.

I use bittornado and it works fine for me. Torrent reactor is alright.. I use torrentspy or isohunt usually.

I'm looking at BitComet at the minute. Seems ok :)

i don't think it's possible to hide your ip unless you use a proxy server.

i use torrentstorm. it tends to use abot 50% more bandwidth than you tell it too, but it's more stable than ares has speed limits, and bitlord seems to completely clog the internet (my only experience with it is closing it on my brother's pc so i don't know what special about it other than it reckons 10k up means 30k up  ).

I think Azerus with the Safepeer plugin may be your best bet perhaps...

I'm using BitComet w/ ProtoWall and Blocklist Manager :)

well i hope that at least gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside because they offer zero protection against "them" getting your IP, when running bittorrent, your IP and what youre uploading/downloading can still be seen via the tracker and via the trackers stats web interface.

but then again, with any p2p app, peolpe can see your IP - else they wouldnt be able ot send you any data.

Also with any p2p app, you are open to "them" despite any "blocklist" or anything like that...i mean what's the chances that all of the IPs are on there, and those that are, whats the chances they're "them"?

blocklists and the suchlike will be the end of p2p...

if you wanna be safe: Shop/Newsgroups are the best bet (or personal friends)

i am using bitcomet ATM (at the moment), but I USED To USE azureus :)

azureus uses up ALOT of memory and ram, and my 1024mbram was like almost used up when i had like 5files seeding and 4 files downloading.....

i switched to bitcomet which has great upload and download speeds if u confirgure it well :) it uses up low resources also!
