Sim City 4 Cd2 Download Gremlin

i was downloading sim city 4 cd2 600+mb with about 27 people who had the same file i had 150+mb already downloaded i went for a shower came back it had started from the beginning again & it was a different size download can any one explain what's going on it not the first time its happend ether

The same thing happned to me when i was downloading Medieval got to about 200,000 MB. Then i left it for a short while and when i came back it was gone and had started again.

I would also like to know what happened.
