how to splice mpg together

I have some wmv (mpg) files which I wish to splice together, these don't have content protection if that makes any difference.

Also I would like to make them into simply mpg files i.e. not wmv. How do I do this?

and how to splice together normal mpg (not wmv) if different from above.

ur gonna wanna use virtualdub to do what u want. might be complex at first, but works great once u learn how to do it.

hmmm even the download page looks complex! for win 98 se what should I download? It's all a bit confusing.
