View Full Version : Pisexy banned azureus ?

I just got the error from the pisexy tracker that

"Error - Azereus is banned for being none compatible with standard BT protecols !)

minding the bad spelling, anyone else getting this error. on their site, they say that you should not upgrade to azureus 2.3 and i have not. im using 2.2.0.0 and still have the problem.
oh well.

If true most likely due to ratio hacks I guess...

Only version 2.2.0.2 is allowed at this time, too many hacks avalible for earlier versions, and the new version 2.3.0.0 is really doing a number with its peer share feature, so that's not allowed either...

The peer share feature can be disabled, and would be a good idea for you to list some kind of FAQ on your own forum so the new version could be used ;)

so with that new option you can connect to lets say FileList and TorrentBytes @ the same time for the same torrent??

Thats correct Ike, and it also uploads to trackers without your knowledge ( trackers you wouldn't necessarily want to connect to)

But then you need to add trackers to a list or something? Or does azureus has its own favorite trackers? :P

Can't tell at this time, what I can tell you is that my GF's was connected to several people outside her tracker, and she hadn't added anything :blink:

Azureus is such a CPU hog that I stopped using it anyway. I like a lot of the features, but I switched back to BitTornado so that I could multitask. The added bonus is that I don't have to worry about PISexy banning my client.

that was caused by Java, if you use the latest version of java that problem is solved :)

I didn't realize that ... maybe it's time to give Azureus another try. It does get pretty annoying having a separate window for every download

2.3 is even with the new java a bitch... it wants CPU and memory, memory memory...

I'm switching back :(

that's so true....I think i'll also switch to BitTornado, because i hate when my computer hogs down....can't perform multitask...n that's just stupid.

Do all the private trackers allow BitTornado? BitComet seems to be pretty popular too. Any other clients let you pick which files you DL?

I've been using Bit Tornado since i started with bit torrent, and haven't had a problem ever.

I've had no CPU problems with azureus. I really can't tell, I do have a 2.8ghz CPU though...

I've had no problems either, running 3000+ AMD Athlon and 1gig of RAM, but the damn thing is a ram hog :rolleyes:

You just registered w/　Pisexy, but I've already upgraded Azureus... anything I can do to still use Pisexy (other than change clients?)

Thanks for the link IKE... but to be specific it's 2.2.0.2 that ISN'T banned. 2.2.0.0 is banned as well as the newer ver. Got it working now.

I didn't realize that AZ was causing these problems. I wonder if that is why I can't connect to some trackers. I will have to try another client. ANy recommendations?

Every day all I hear is tracker x has banned azureus version y z and w but you can still use versions v and z, and I don't know any other clients that have publically available mods to cheat ratio systems by faking upload, there are so many clients and I know people love azureus but i mean cmon how long has this banning thing and the cheating thing been going on for, couldn't they either a) stop adding crap that gives reasons for trackers to ban it or for trackers just ban it entirely and be done with it.

Well, just because some cheat, doesn't mean ban a client. I am more than happy with Azureus, don't cheat, and have plenty of ram to run the client. As far as that goes, I know of sites that have banned bitcomet :blink:
