I have just downloaded version 7 of msn messenger but whenever I try to log on I get the following message:

http://www.filesharingtalk.com/vb3/attachment.php?attachmentid=699&stc=1

I have the option to troubleshoot which when I click says:

http://www.filesharingtalk.com/vb3/attachment.php?attachmentid=700&stc=1

System Settings
We found some system settings that might be preventing a connection to Messenger.

View system settings
Setting Proposed Change
Domain Authority Clear
Domain Authority Configuration Version Clear

Applications

The following programs might prevent a connection to MSN Messenger.

Zone Labs Zone Alarm
If I click view system settings it brings up a table which says:

Setting Proposed--------------------------------------- Change
Domain Authority--------------------------------------- Clear
Domain Authority Configuration Version------------------- Clear

I don't think it is Zone Labs Zone Alarm that is the problem because it has worked fine up until now and I haven't changed any settings. I use windows XP

Can someone please help me?

The new MSN (v7) has a more advanced connection system...it might be showing up as a different program than the old one did for zone alarm, so zone alarm is blocking it.

worth a shot to try turning off za. :)
