ehh, i meant some stuff like AV, Firewall, Spyware Cleaner, ect. Things to help the computer. She can get the other stuff later. :-p

Sygate
Spysweeper
System Mechanic

which i shoove into all noob machines
(open in notepad to see what it does)

trojan scanner is good.

and don't forget hijackthis...you can go to www.hijakcthis.de and paste the log to have it analyse for you. (incase u didn't know about it)

Thanks i didnt know that, but i need a program that will just scan and fix it real quick. Is hijackthis the program i need to use?

yes but first let a spyware scanner do the work for you then do hijackthis

If you don't know what HiJackThis is, don't use it!!!

It'll create a list of registry entries, auto-run, BHO's, hosts files, downloaded active-X...the list goes on.

The thing is...it lists GOOD as well as bad entries.
