Well, I am trying to find a way to get albums. I dont like soul Seek becuase it takes to long. I need a easy/ fast way to get full albums of stuff older then 2 months. Plus any good you could recommend would be cool too. I am really getting into music now a days.
I use Bittornado+ Filemp3.org for the latest stuff. :)

filemp3.org is full :( Plus i can get anything released in the last 2 months, and anything coming out a soon as its released. I am looking for older stuff, older then 2 months.

asmithz, if it takes you 2 months to get an album off slsk, it's because you don't know how to search or use it right.
never takes me more than half an hour...

Uhm, I think he's saying it's hard to find stuff that's been released more than two months ago, not that it takes him two months.
Slsk is prolly the best app I know for older stuff, truth be told.
But sometimes you can get lucky on, for instance, e-mule or irc.

Usually use slsk or irc for albums, also Ares for older stuff.

Yea, Its harder to find stuff older then 2 months. Slsk is way to slow to me, i am use to getting albums with 400kb/s. :( With Slsk, i am in queue alot, and speeds suck.

With that much bandwidth, you want a p2p program that takes files from multiple sources. Give Ares a try for that. You should also be able to find albums older than 2 months, but the fake files are starting to creep in.
Alternatively, go with newsgroups or IRC.

yep Ares seems like the best, still kinda lame. Wish i had a source that archives mp3s longer then 2 months. :(
Newsgroups is no good, only a 24 day retation. IRC mabey, but still hard to get what you want.

There's always Kazaa... :ermm:
Believe it or not, it's actually still okay if you're looking for really old stuff

Ares is good if you want more mainstream music. It's hard to find more indie stuff on there.

DC++ All the way, this has gotta be the best p2p file share allowing to dl full albums of music at high speeds
Slsk is the way to go mate! If you got a lot to share, people will most likely add you to their friends list which gives you privileges to be the first one to download. So no queues here
ps. it helps alot if you have a high upload rate :D
