I know running 2 different P2Ps is not recommended. Is the same true for running a P2P (Shareaza) and a bittorrent client (Azureus?) I know azureus uses a lot of memory so it may make my PC slow, but will the DLoading be ok?

p2p refers to peer-to-peer, which bittorent is as well. its just another p2p program. The results would be determined on your bandwidth usage, and quite honestly, I wouldn't recommend it.

you can run 2 p2p programs @ the same time as long as both dont use the same port.

well I had to configure my azureus client to use another port so I could use ET's tracker, and I've never messed w/ the port set-up for Shareaza (which should be the default setting) so there should be no problem then right?

I have done this a few times..you shouldn't have any problems as long as you have enough RAM.

I run Limewire, ABC, and Emule Plus all at once.

It depends on the combo. of which p2p prog's you're trying to run and your computer. I've had ABC, emuleplus and Ares all going at the same time before quite a few times with good speeds on all 3 and very little lag from my comp .

The keyword here is good speeds. when I originally saw this post and saw bittorent, I automatically thought of private trackers, which most of us belong to. the good speeds in question are upload, or download ? If you are losing your upload running multiple programs, you are going to have a very hard time with BT on a private tracker, where you must have a decent upload ratio to keep your account.
