however i find it slightly messy as i use it to browse new posts
its easy to confuse YourFaceSucks/SexyPics etc
with "official" forum items.
Maybe change the color of the bottom row to lighter color?

Well this was kinda my thought althought I wantsd them below where its says FileSharingTalk and just above the forums although shading a differnt color as mentioned is a decent thought also. As for pytting the links on the bottom that may be kinda shitty for the site owner I would think. Also the phrase Never Pay For FileSharing was discussed as to be in a differnt color so it will stand out a bit more. Anyway Im sure rossco will make some tweaks to it when he gets a chance...

Pretty much. I rarely clicked them, but whenever I do it's usually because I'm bored and just to see what's there - Not because they're there in my face.

Up there, it's pretty easy to get the sponsor links confused with the forum features. Dunno what new members would think though.

Having said that, I might see if I can use Greasemonkey to remove it for me - Personally it's too close to my face up there, but like I said that's a personal view.

Forum is one of those words which doesn't pluralise well. I think 'Welcome to the Forum' would be better. It also gives a sense of togetherness, indicating that altho' there are several subsections, the forum is synergistic and as such not a sum of its parts.
