edit: that should say tracker at the top :frusty:

I've made an avi I'd like to publish but can't figure out how to do it right in Azureus. I somehow got it made into a torrent, then I went to my torrents and opened it up for seeding and got a connection error.

Plus I tried out the URL for it to see if others could download it, which is one of those ones with your URL and announce in it, and Firefox said that access was refused

Looked at the guide on Azureus's site and it's not very helpful

I've gotten one step closer by right clicking on the torrent after opening it for seeding, and then clicking on "Host". That's gotten the torrent onto the my tracker screen, but once again I tried out the URL for it to see if others can d/l it and it then says "Operation was timed out when connection to http:// "My IP"/announce :frusty:

creating a decentralized torrent, and tracking the torrent yourself are two different things.
in the first case your dht tracker will end up looking like this:
dht://<hash>.dht/announce
in the second case it will look like this:
http:// "Your IP"/announce
and in the second case you also have to configure azureus to be a tracker, or run some other tracker client on your pc

EDIT if you want to use a remote tracker try:
http://tracker.torrentportal.com:6969/announce
or
http://tracker.prq.to:80/announce.php

just put one or the other as the tracker, and seed the torrent, and you should be "good to go"
