Found this while updating my extensions . Looks like it would be worth trying .
I hate to have to close Firefox and open IE when I find a page that requires it.

Fixed your thread title (eiview :P).
But ya, this is a great extension. I use it to test pages i'm working on to see how they look in IE, or if i'm trying to view a video that won't work in ff.

i think you can leave messages on any webpage
a basically behind the scenes chat type thing - leave notes
could be cool but ... peaople have to be into
(you have to register an account - it goes quick)
could you test to see if you can read anything on this page or on the front of fst index - im online for 30 minutes

99% how do u leave/see the comments with it?
just says 0, and i cant figure out how to add one.
edit: got it. :D
it's slow tho.
are u logged in
1rst
topright clik "options" to log in your user name & pass must be registered
then top left "enable"
then i guess clik either community or friends or personal and leave a note - but i think u should be able to read something i left - but i didnt do it on all "community/friends/persoanl) will add now
ok i checked out some other bigger sites - you have to leave notes in "community" - then later add budies etc
this could be good but not reallly right now
its like a forum in a forum

anyone else tried greasemonkey (http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/) it lets you run scripts at the end of any webpage to tweak any page. pretty handy for fixing rendering errors in pages, removing ads and changing layouts or colours in pages.
there is also a nice list of scripts here (http://dunck.us/collab/GreaseMonkeyUserScripts)

IEView is a great plugin. Since I use Firefox as my default browser, any time I see an IE only site, I just use the plugin to switch over. And Ive even configured it to load Maxthon (MyIE2) to load instead of just plain old IE. So I still get all the neat features (tab browsing, better security etc etc) yet still be have that IE core. :)
Yeah, I use greasemonkey. Another great plugin. Removed so much crap from the many sites I vist. ;)
how did you get IEview to open Maxthon?

Find in Statusbar - puts a find panel in status bar
Oo I don't like that at all.. :(
Isn't there an add-in that lets you just always have the existing find-bar displayed all the time? (i.e. without having to go Edit--Find on this page first)

how did you get IEview to open Maxthon?
Click Tools--Extensions,
Select IEView and click Options.
It asks you for IE location.. just point this to the executable for Maxthon.. or whatever...
You can also open the page in Opera, Netscape too if required.. :cool2:

That's probably because the "Find in Statusbar" extension disables the normal Firefox Find functionality...

IEView is one of the key extentions everyone should get when they have FireFox [along with Tabbedbrowser Prefernces and Adbock, of course]
