errm, the title was supposed to be a reference to the common phrase and sandwiches, meh

inspired by, err, myself (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/showpost.php?p=1060879&postcount=20) to devoted a thread to all things tasty crammed between two slices of bread.

I can't be arsed right now, but someday i'll make myself one of these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheesesteak)

Love the sound of what you suggest, but I think the chance of getting one of these in the UK is slim to middlin,so I think I'll give it a go meself, sounds like something Homer would give the last hairs on his head for

Cornflakes and tomato sauce is an intresting sandwich combination.
No butter, obviously. :snooty:

Toasted cheese sandwich (open), with a fried egg on top.

Pepper, on the cheese. Salt, on the egg.

Cheese should be under grill until it browns a bit. Egg should have soft yolk, but not runny white.

Alternatively you can use a poached egg, but that's a bit girly.

last time I was in the UK I had a sandwich at the airport from boots.... egg mayonnaise, sausage, bacon with a tomato relish in baked bean bread...I went back for a second.

one thing I found a surprisingly good filling although simple was buttery mashed potato with sweet peas.... having kids opens ones pallet to unexpected combinations.

Banana sandwiches are the BEST!!!!
