Hi there,
I just recently dl a large file that was splint into many parts, each parts file extenstion is a .000, .001 etc my pc doesn't know what app to open it with and neither do I. I have opened plenty of .r00, .r01 etc files using win rar but as I said my pc doesn't know what app to use. Any suggestions of an app or how to extract these files would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use WinRAR.

Make sure all these files are in the same folder.

Open 1 of them, and extract.

Should work fine ;)

Winrar. (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm)

WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce size of email attachments, decompress RAR (http://www.rarlab.com/rar_file.htm), ZIP (http://www.rarlab.com/zip_file.htm) and other (http://www.rarlab.com/otherfmt.htm) files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format. You may try WinRAR before buy, its trial version is available in downloads (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm).

Thanks for the prompt help folks, worked fine using win rar. My pc normally recognises these type of files but didn't this time. Now it has learned its lesson. Thanks again
