cheap surround sound system

i'm looking for a cheap surround sound system which supports either optical in or digital in, as the signal is coming from my xbox.
im in the uk, so the company has to be from there.
my maximum is probably about £80

What's the point in getting cheap surround sound? Sounds a little like an oxymoron to me. :unsure:

dont really have the money for much more, but would like a surround sound system.

You could always save up and buy an "all-in-one" system that comes with a receiver/dvd player and 6 speakers. A lot of them have auxilary optical-in. Audio quality will probably suck though.

Better still, start saving and buy a decent receiver and than save for speakers, dvd player etc. You will be much happier in the end 'cause of the better quality sound.

When I was in high school, and later in college, I had no money but saved-up to buy quality stereo equipment and found it was truly worth the wait.
