NEtwork question

This aint a hardware problem but its kinda stupid in any case. My friend's internet got fucked up the other day. he has 3 computers. 1 computer is running fine. the other 2 are saying that a Network cable is plugged in, but its not actualyl going online. I tried the WinXP Network setup crap and the INternet Connection crap, but nothing helps. SPyware/Adaware/Virii are not an issue. :frusty: :angry:

Are they getting IP adresses?
check by going to control panel>network connection>and clicking on the connection.

if he has a router it will usually be 192.168.x.x

yeah, they're getting IP's.

well what do u mean they aren't going online?

browser won't connect to the net i assume?
what about network. can the computers see eachother? (share files)

yeah, browsers wont connect. Computers can see each other.
