It seems I have forgotten how the heck to burn a .dat file. I was sure it was with alcohol or maybe nero - but nada. Any advice - please. Thanks.

Were there an icon for totally embarassed I would use it here <>. It seems I had a program onboard that not only turned the .dat file into a proper vcd format, but has a burner attached to it too - and it works just fine. Forgot I had this onboard and in truth opened it to see what the **** it was!!! The program is AVS Converter if anyone gets to the same boat I was in. Rock on.

Ah Orcutt989 - u did in fact. Had I not travelled the route your links provided, I would not have used Nero the first time - then got curious about this other app onboard that I forgot all about. Must be gettin' old. Thanks for the assist my friend. Rock on.
