Windows XP Pro

i downloaded a copy of windows xp professional and the install went fine and everything but it says there are about 8 updates for it. the download came with SP2 already incoprated into the professional version. but i need to install the critcal updates and all that other blah. is it possible to update a downloaded copy of XP or should i just leave it alone and not worry about updating?

Go for the critical updates . Becareful with the hardware updates , some are older than what you have already. eg: Video cards.
